AI News You Should Know
Google Slides will now build the deck for you. Google's July Workspace update added deck generation, where you describe the presentation you want, point Gemini at an existing deck to match its formatting, and it pulls context from your Docs, Sheets, and PDFs to build a fully editable deck. Gemini in Docs also gained the ability to create images, diagrams, and infographics from a plain-language prompt. Your next listing presentation now has a starting point instead of a blank slide.
Anthropic shipped Claude Opus 5, a model the company says comes close to the intelligence of its top-tier Fable 5 at half the price. It is now the default on Claude Max and the strongest option available on Claude Pro, with a new effort dial that lets you decide how much horsepower a task gets. If you draft listing copy, summarize contracts, or build market updates in Claude, you got an upgrade without lifting a finger.
OpenAI cut prices again and passed a billion users. GPT-5.6 Luna dropped 80 percent, and Terra dropped 20 percent, with the company crediting efficiency gains from its own models. Cheaper tokens rarely show up on your invoice. They show up as more generous AI limits inside the CRM and marketing tools you are already paying for.
AI voice audio now carries a watermark. OpenAI updated GPT-Live so audio generated through ChatGPT Voice and its API includes SynthID watermarking, and there is a public tool that can check a file for OpenAI provenance signals. With voice cloning turning up in wire fraud attempts around closings, knowing a verification tool exists is worth the two minutes it takes to bookmark it.
