EP 123: How Jaime Peca Built AI without a Tech Background

In my next episode, my guest is Jaime Peca of The Real Brokerage to break down how she went from basic AI usage to building workflows, SOPs, and internal tools that support her entire team.
Jaime shares how her first breakthrough came from using AI to communicate complex pricing conversations with sellers, and how that quickly evolved into solving deeper operational challenges inside her business. From creating brand voice consistency to building SOPs through AI interviews, she explains how agents can move beyond simple prompts and start using AI as a true business partner.
This episode drops on May 20th.
AI News You Should Know
HubSpot launched a free AI visibility dashboard as ChatGPT referral traffic hit a 12-month low. On May 14, HubSpot released AEO Sensor, a free tool that tracks how often brands show up in AI-generated answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. The timing is notable: ChatGPT sent the lowest volume of referral traffic to businesses in April 2026 compared to any month in the past year. For real estate agents, the implication is clear. Buyers are asking AI for home recommendations instead of Googling, and if your brokerage doesn't show up in those answers, you're invisible before the conversation starts. AEO (answer engine optimization) is a term worth learning now.
New data shows top-ranked Google pages are losing up to a third of their clicks to AI answers. Tracking of 50 B2B keywords in Q1 2026 found that pages in the top three Google positions saw click-through rates drop 18% to 34% once AI-generated answers appeared above them, even though rankings stayed stable. With Google I/O on May 19, more AI search features are expected. For agents who depend on website traffic, the takeaway is concrete: your rankings might look fine, but fewer people are clicking through. Building content that AI wants to cite is becoming as important as traditional SEO.
A new survey found that most buyers expect agents to use AI, but want transparency about it. According to recent findings from Real Estate News, consumers increasingly anticipate that their agent is using AI tools, but they want clarity on where and how, along with human verification of the output. For agents already using ChatGPT for listings, market data, or client emails, this is a useful gut check. The competitive advantage isn't hiding your AI use. It's being upfront about it and showing clients that your expertise is what makes the AI output trustworthy.
