AI News You Should Know

OpenAI has launched a new tasks feature in ChatGPT, enabling users to set reminders and schedule recurring actions. Currently available to ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Pro users, tasks allow commands like “Remind me when my drivers license expires in six months” or “Give me a daily real estate news briefing at 7 a.m.” Users can also manage tasks through a dedicated web app tab.

This is a small first step into the new era of AI where systems can act more independently moving us slowly but surely to AI agents. Even though it’s basic for now, it shows how AI could handle bigger and more complex tasks in the future — something OpenAI is likely to build on. For users it means AI that’s more helpful and takes action on its own.
