OpenAI has unveiled Operator, a game-changing AI agent designed to independently complete tasks via a web browser. Powered by the advanced Computer-Using Agent (CUA) model, Operator combines GPT-4o’s vision capabilities with advanced reasoning.
It can interact with websites—click, type, and navigate—just like a human. And the best part? No integrations required. Currently available for Pro users in the U.S. via operator.chatgpt.com, this feature will soon expand to ChatGPT and API platforms.
DeepSeek’s R1 challenges Silicon Valley: AI models capable of reasoning already exist. But DeepSeek’s R1 appears to have delivered an innovation on a scale that puts a PhD-level AI reasoning model in billions of pockets around the world.
Deepseek R1 sent shockwaves through the AI community, boasting o1-level performance, but with fraction of the resources used by OpenAI. One way or another the competitive landscape has been upended, as the other big players seek to replicate Deepseek’s efficiency. The DeepSeek app has overtaken ChatGPT to become the top free app in Apple's App Store, powered by its DeepSeek-V3 model.
