OpenAI launches GPT-5.1, a 'smarter, more conversational ChatGPT’. GPT 5.1 offers two enhanced models: Instant for everyday tasks (now warmer, more intelligent, and better at following instructions) and Thinking for complex reasoning (now faster, clearer, and more persistent). Both models also feature improved tone customization. The update is currently rolling out, starting with paid users.
