AI News You Should Know

OpenAI’s GPT-4.5 Rollout: OpenAI has begun rolling out GPT-4.5, its largest AI model to date, to ChatGPT Plus subscribers. The rollout is staggered over three days due to capacity constraints. GPT-4.5 excels in conversational tasks and practical problem-solving but falls short in complex reasoning compared to newer reasoning models from its competitors. The model leverages significantly more data and computational resources, offering improved world knowledge and emotional intelligence.

Google has announced major expansions to its AI-powered search features, including broader access to AI Overviews and a new chatbot-like "AI Mode" that transforms how users interact with search results. The AI-fication of Google search continues to accelerate.
