AI News You Should Know

Google has introduced several new features to its Gemini AI platform that are now available to all users for free. Here are my top four:

Deep Research: This tool allows Gemini to conduct thorough web research on your behalf, compiling detailed reports in minutes—a task that might otherwise take hours.  

Gems: Gems (similar to Custom GPT’s) are personalized AI assistants tailored to specific tasks. You can create custom Gems for activities like meal planning, career guidance, or brainstorming.

Personalization: Gemini can now provide responses based on your Google search history, offering more tailored recommendations.

Enhanced App Integration: Gemini now integrates more deeply with Google services like Calendar, Notes, Tasks, and, soon, Photos. This means you can ask Gemini to perform complex tasks that involve multiple apps, such as finding a recipe on YouTube, adding ingredients to your shopping list, and locating nearby grocery stores—all in one go.
