AI News You Should Know

OpenAI has unveiled GPT-4.5, its most advanced AI model so far. Initially, it will be available as a test version for ChatGPT Pro users. While OpenAI describes it as a highly knowledgeable model, it clarifies that GPT-4.5 is not a breakthrough model and may perform worse than some other models like o1 or o3-mini.

Microsoft has launched a native Copilot app for macOS, bringing its AI assistant directly to Apple users. The app offers features like dark mode, keyboard shortcuts, and document summarization, making it easier for users to interact with AI on their Mac devices.

AI conversational search engine Perplexity is speaking up in its latest iOS update. The AI chatbot's voice mode brings a new look and more natural-sounding voices to the app, along with some new interactive features. The upgrade sets up Perplexity's app to better challenge rivals with their own voice options like ChatGPT or Google Gemini.
