EP 119: Why AI Home Search is Becoming a Competitive Edge for Agents

AI News You Should Know

HubSpot launched AEO, or Answer Engine Optimization, on April 14 as part of its Spring 2026 Spotlight. The $50/month tool tracks how your brand appears in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity, then gives you specific recommendations to improve. HubSpot reported that organic traffic for its customers dropped 27% year over year while AI referral traffic tripled, with visitors from AI engines converting at 4.4x the rate of traditional search. For real estate agents, this is the clearest signal yet that showing up in AI answers is becoming as important as showing up on Google. If you're wondering where to start, the recent Jill Wente episode is a great companion to this story.

Canva launched Canva AI 2.0 at its annual Create event on April 16, calling it the biggest transformation since the platform launched in 2013. You can now describe what you need in plain language, and Canva AI will generate fully editable designs, coordinate across tools, and remember your brand preferences between sessions. The platform also added connectors for Gmail, Slack, and Zoom, plus the ability to schedule and automate content publishing. For real estate agents already using Canva for listing flyers and social content, this is a significant upgrade to watch as it rolls out over the coming weeks.

Get AI Smart

On April 17, Claude launched Claude Design, and quietly changed what “on-brand content” takes to produce. You describe what you want. It builds it. Listing decks. Buyer guides. Market update carousels. Framework diagrams. All reading your brand files, all in one conversation.

So I put together a short guide, five plays any agent, team leader, or broker can run this week. No theory. No demos. Just what to build and the prompts to start with.
Grab it below. 👇

Here is a step-by-step guide I built for anyone wanting to transition from ChatGPT to Claude without losing anything. Don’t skip Step 1, you will thank me later.

Always be curious,
