Google just launched “Gems” which allows users to save time and call custom prompts anytime. Gems are mini AI experts for specific topics or goals: You write instructions, name your Gem, and chat with it when needed. If “Gems” sound familiar to Open AI’s Custom GPT’s, its because, well, they are basically identical.

Google has launched it’s AI-powered Gmail feature - Gmail Q & A - on android mobile decices (iOS coming later) which will allow Gemini users to chat with Google’s AI Assistant, Gemini, about their emails. Additionally, Google also integrated Gemini AI into Chrome's address bar, expanding user access to AI assistance while web browsing. You can access Gemini by typing "@gemini" in Chrome.

200 Million people use ChatGPT every week as of Thursday, August 29th, 2024. OpenAI launched ChatGPT in November 2022, and while you might think that after being on the market for nearly two years, its initial popularity would settle down, the number of users keeps increasing exponentially.
